I began Handcrafted Jewelry by Ryann Thompson after deciding to wholeheartedly connect myself to the craft of jewelry design. Art has always provided a central theme for my entire life. Whether through painting, drawing, interior design or crafting, creative pursuits have always provided me with my greatest enjoyment. While I have designed jewelry for the past six years for friends and family, in the past year I resolved to dedicate myself toward jewelry making. I have loved making jewelry for some time but simply couldn’t justifying keeping it all to myself. After my very supportive friends and family urged me to sell my ideas, I began doing small custom orders. This step has been rewarding and satisfying, especially after receiving such positive feedback.

I hand make all of my pieces using a mix of vintage and new materials to create rustic, classic pieces. Additionally, many the beads and pendants used in my designs are handmade using polymer clay which allows me to design the exact color and style desired for each specific piece. This also allows me to work with my clients on custom pieces to design for a specific color palate.

I deeply enjoy the process of creating with my own hands and making something both beautiful and personal to my clients and myself. Designing jewelry provides endless learning possibilities; new creative techniques, innovative design styles and alternative materials allow me delve deeply into the experimental aspect of jewelry making.
